Our Responsibility
- • Build and extend REST API endpoints following the versioned /api/v1/ pattern using Express.js and TypeScript.
- • Work within the adapter-based architecture to add or improve platform integrations (webhooks, polling, SFTP, S3 events, Kinesis streams).
- • Write business logic in the services layer, keeping controllers thin and services focused on a single responsibility.
- • Work with PostgreSQL via Prisma ORM — writing migrations, queries, and maintaining schema integrity across master/slave setups.
What You Will Do
- • Build and extend REST API endpoints using Express.js and TypeScript
- • Work with PostgreSQL via Prisma ORM — migrations, queries, and schema integrity
- • Use Redis for caching and Bull queues for async job processing
- • Interact with MongoDB via Mongoose for audit logs and analytics
- • Integrate with AWS services — S3, Secrets Manager, SQS, and Kinesis
- • Debug and trace issues across the full stack: routes → controllers → services → queues → workers
- • Write and maintain Jest tests for new business logic
- • Participate in code reviews and follow SOLID principles
Skills needed for Success
- • Solid understanding of TypeScript and Node.js
- • Familiarity with REST API design and Express.js
- • Basic knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL)
- • Comfortable working in a Linux/WSL environment with Git
- • Ability to read existing code and match its patterns before writing new code
- • Nice to have: Prisma ORM, Redis, Bull/BullMQ, MongoDB/Mongoose, AWS basics, Jest
